Position Title: Service Engineer

Location: Remote (for the right candidate, with approximately 80% travel required)

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Service Engineer who will spend approximately 80% of their time traveling to customer sites and 20% handling preparation and paperwork. The ideal candidate will excel in diagnosing and repairing equipment, particularly robotic components, installing and configuring hardware and software, and conducting regular maintenance. This role involves direct customer interaction, providing on-site support, and ensuring accurate reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue Diagnosis and Repair: Identify and resolve technical issues, ensuring equipment operates correctly and efficiently.
  • Robotic Component Repairs: Perform heavy repairs on robotic components to restore full functionality.
  • Installation and Configuration: Install new hardware and configure software components, ensuring proper setup and integration.
  • Maintenance: Conduct regular maintenance on equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operation.
  • Customer Interaction: Provide on-site support, answer customer questions, and demonstrate the effective use of equipment and software.
  • Reporting: Complete detailed and accurate reports on service activities and equipment status.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and repairing complex technical issues, especially with robotic systems.
  • Expertise in hardware installation and software configuration.
  • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly.
  • Experience in conducting maintenance and troubleshooting equipment.
  • Excellent reporting skills and attention to detail.
